Wabi Sabi 014
A lightly pink 2.30 carat Tourmaline from Nigeria faceted by artist John Bailey in a fancy Ceylon-style round and installed in a naturally-textured Obsidian nodule collected in Northern Nevada.
Tourmaline is a pyroelectric crystal – developing a magnetic charge when warmed. Thus, it symbolizes friendship, compassion, and attraction. Pink Tourmaline shows the color of tenderness, caring and sensuality.
Obsidian (volcanic glass) is Earth’s inner fire come to our realm – conveying the resilience to move through fire, to transform, and bestow both beauty and utility. Cultures the world over have used and recognized it for millennia.
